Found a new video
I just came across this new video and it goes great with what we are talking about so I thought we would post it for everyone to see. This is about a new nano liquid vitamin from a company called Livethesource. My family and I have been using the all natural vitamins for about a year and we have tons of energy without the dangers of energy drinks.
When I first tried them they guaranteed my money back if they didn't work. I would assume that they have the same deal going if you are interested. The phone number is at the end of this first video.

Energy drinks and your health
I'm sure we have all heard of the popular energy drinks such as Monster, Amp, Rockstar and Red Bull. In fact, most of us have probably tried one of these drinks. Most of the drinks have ingredients such as caffeine, taurine and glucuronolactone. They also contain high levels of sugar and caffeine.
Energy drinks are meant to be used to supply mental and physical stimulation for a set amount of time and are mainly used during periods of strenuous physical activity and to quench thirst. Unfortunately, energy drinks do not hydrate the body and often lead to dehydration.
Today, a lot of people tend to mix energy drinks with alcohol, which makes the effects even worse. Drinking a lot of these types of drinks mixed with alcohol can lead to many health risks.
So, what is so bad about energy drinks? Though energy drinks do not pose serious health risks, it is important that they are consumed correctly. Unfortunately, a lot of people do not use them properly and a high majority of those who consume drinks such as Red Bull and Monster are teenagers and adolescents. With high amounts of sugar and caffeine, the drinks can pose slight risks to younger people.
An increased level of caffeine in the body can lead to stomach problems, panic attacks, anxiety, and cardiac arrhythmias. Caffeine is also known to mask the symptoms of fatigue. When symptoms of fatigue are not apparent, the body is already overworked while the person is continuing to do activity, which puts further strain on the heart.
A Possible Deadly Choice
Why is it bad to mix energy drinks and alcohol? The answer is pretty simple if you think about it. When you mix the two, you are mixing caffeine, which is a stimulant, which speeds up the central nervous system and alcohol, a depressant, which does the complete opposite. Basically, mixing these two drinks it like getting into your car and having a foot on each pedal, one on the brake and one on the gas, at the same time. Your car would be confused and would probably jolt, and your body does the same exact thing. Mixing these two drinks also poses health risks. For example, it can cause nausea, vomiting, heart irregularities, and electrolyte disturbances. Also when these two liquids are mixed, the user's motor skills and reaction time are completely impaired.
What are some alternatives to energy drinks? Recently, many companies have created drinks similar to energy drinks, they provide the energy and are actually healthy to consume.
A Better Choice
One drink that has become extremely popular is called Purple. This drink has seven antioxidants including, Acai, Black Cherry, Pomegranate, Black Currant, Purple Plum, Cranberry, and Blueberry. All of these antioxidants working together create something called the Cascade Effect. Purple also has no added chemicals or sugar. Purple is much healthier compared to the mainstream energy drinks.
I have tried many of these health drinks and this one has them all beat for taste. I know that GNC stores carry Purple but rather than me list all of the locations here you can just go visit www.drinkpurple.com I also included them in my "Helpful Links" Below.
Free Sample
At one time they were giving away a coupon on their site for a free full size bottle of Purple. I don't know if they are still doing that or not.
If they aren't giving away the sample anymore just go to about any major grocery or drug store and ask for it. Be warned though many stores are blowing through their stock quickly because of how the drink has caught on.
Another Alternative to Energy Drinks
POM Wonderful is another alternative to energy drinks, This is a privately owned company and manufactures their own brand of pomegranate juice, This particular brand bills its self as one of the most powerful natural antioxidants. It is sold in most major grocery and health food stores or you can find how to get it on line at www.pomwonderful.com
Though energy drinks are not bad if used occasionally, it is important to use them correctly. If someone consumes too many energy drinks in a small time span, there are sure to be slight health risks. It is also important not to mix energy drinks with alcohol because this increases the chance for health risks to occur.
Helping to keep us and our families healthy.
Regards Archie

Very well written informative article
I used to be a regular drinker of energy drinks when I was still studying.. Thanks for this hub, I did't know that energy drink poses health risks.
Yes I agree with you. I used to drink energy drinks when I was a routine work out guy. However, I now switched to regular fruit drinks and vegetable drinks that I mix myself. Ever since juice machines came out, I stopped drinking energy drinks all together. I am very health conscience now and I would not drink energy drinks. I think that the natural way is always the best way to go. Good article.

Hey patrick, maybe you should mature a little? :P
Hey Tony seems like you should know your own phrase, it's "They're Great!" not THERE GREAT! Anyway, I am glad I found this in Google. I just did a science project which involved me drinking a couple of energy drinks to do some tests. After I consumed them my heartbeat went up tremendously, made me a little light headed, and I had chest pains. Now I know why because of this, thank you. I also learned a lot about cardiac arrhythmias after googling it. And very well written.

Acai is one of the best energy drinks I've had, and I've tried them all. It is natural and good for you.
people and kids drink energy drinks cause of the effects it has on the body... thats called addiction....
It literally breaks my heart to read some of the posts above knowing what I have learned since January 19 of this year. On that fateful day, my cousin's 19 year old son died because of energy drinks. He had no underlying medical problems. Toxicology reports were negative for illegal and legal drugs and alcohol. In my research, I found the results of a study conducted in 2008 showed that the ingestion of one, 250ml can of sugar-free Red Bull, in a sample of 30 healthy young adults, had an immediate detrimental effect on both endothelial function, and normal blood coagulation. This temporarily raised the cardiovascular risk in these individuals to a level comparable to that of an individual with established coronary artery disease. While the affects may not have lasted for an extended period of time, it could have (an in my cousins case did) caused any one of their deaths. They ARE an addiction. Unfortunately, like alcoholism, because it is socially accepted, people refuse to see it as a drug. But that's exactly what it is. Like alcohol, it's a legal drug. I remember being a teenager/young adult and I remember that I absolutely knew EVERYTHING. At 52 years old, I realize now that I knew nothing, and still don't know everything.
I love energy drinks because they help me stay focused during my working hours. I have not had any problems so far, so I hope they are safe. I am currently drinking natural energy drinks that do not contain any sugars or harmful ingredients. I test out new energy drinks almost every day because I help energy drink manufacturers take their product to retail buyers. I also hire girls to become energy drink promotional models. You can see what I am talking about here..http://www.boostmyproduct.com/energy-drinks.html
If you want energy, clarity, and focus....try eating the right diet for it. You can get the same results without loading up on toxins and processed sugars. Raw foods (fresh fruits and vegetables) will provide all the energy and mental clarity you could hope to have.
very well
i drink 3 to 4 cans a day and i seem to be perfectly fine. except i can never stay still which isnt always a bad thing.
I think it is a well written article....
I useto drink all the energy drink listed above. I went to the doctor and it was causing me liver problems. Thank god I stopped in time. I ran into a natural energy drink that is safe and has no sugars. I drink it now instead it;s alot healthier.
Thank you so much for publishing this. I had heard that these drinks can be a serious health risk and that some teenagers have even died from consuming them; very sad. Great, informative article.
I just did a search for energy drink health concerns and your post was first that came up. Yesterday, Max International launched a new product...Max ATP, clean cellular energy, powered by RiboCeine...fuels your cells, fuels your body. 25 years in the making, patented, peer reviewed and completely safe! One 2 oz bottle gives you a powerhouse of nutrients for unbeatable ATP support.
I've been drinking alot of Redbull for a couple of years, to have energy during long working hours and eventually suffered from early stage diabetes which swells my leg. I started drinking it when I was 22 now i'm 33. last year I shifted in taking MaxGXL and the result was outstanding even my doctor was amazed about the good change of my health status. Now the company recently launched a new product called Max ATP. I can't wait to get a hold of that. cheers
hmm so energy drinks r like and as harmful as alcohol can be so many possibilities its amazing
Energy drinks can be harmful and yet when you look at alcohol consumption and then you compare the two it is definitely not wise to mix the two as stated above. Moderation is key. If you want a boost go natural otherwise once in a while traditional energy drinks will not kill us recklace teens.
A am thirteen and I started drinking monsters a week before 8-31 and my tummy hurts wen I drink them without food
Great info on the bad effects of energy drinks! My healthy homemade energy drink recipe is made with tea and fruit juice.

Doesn't anyone realize that most energy drinks have less sugar than soda?
To the people that get stomache aches and chest pains...STOP DRINKING THEM!!!!!!!!! The average healthy person's bady can handle an energy drink now and then and it's a hell of a lot healthier than drinking a can of soda. At least it has vitamins with all that sugar and caffine.
